Explanation

(a)(i) Annual range of temperature for the station is 21°C - 13°C = 8°C OR 70°F - 55°F = 15°F

(ii) Annual Rainfall (Add all the precipitation from January to December = 642mm (or 25. 3 inches)

(b) The distribution of rainfall in the station is such that the peak of rainfall is around June with the least in February. increases from January gradually till the peak in June and continues to decline till December.

(c) The type of climate trend presented by the climatic table is Tropical Continental (Sudan type) Reasons:

(i) The annual range of temperature is 8°C

(ii) Only one peak of rainfall in June

(iii) Decrease in rainfall early and late in the year.

(d) (i) The type of natural vegetation is savanna:-Tropical Grassland

(ii) The main characteristics of the vegetation are:

(a) Presence of tall grass

(b) Presence of scattered trees

(c) Deciduous nature of the trees

(d) Presence of trees like baobab, acacial etc.
