Explanation
\(log_2 (6 - x) = 3 - log_2 x\)

⇒ \(log_2 (6 - x) = log_2 2^3 - log_2 x\) \((a log\) c = \(log\) c\(^a)\)
⇒ \(log_2 (6 - x) = log_2 8 - log_2 x\)
