If \(\frac{6x + k}{2x^2 + 7x - 15}\) = \(\frac{4}{x + 5} - \frac{2}{2x - 3}\). Find the value of k.

  • A. - 21
  • B. - 22
  • C. - 24
  • D. - 25

Correct Answer: B. - 22

Explanation

\(\frac{6x + k}{2x^2 + 7x - 15} = \frac{4}{x + 5} - \frac{2}{2x - 3}\)

6x + k = 4 (2x - 3) - 2(x + 5)

6x + k = 8x - 12 - 2x - 10

6x + k = 6x - 22

k = - 22
