The function \(f : F \to R\)

= \(f(x) = \begin{cases} 3x + 2 : x > 4 \\ 3x - 2 : x = 4 \\ 5x - 3 : x < 4 \end{cases}\). Find f(4) - f(-3).

  • A. 28
  • B. 26
  • C. -26
  • D. -28

Correct Answer: A. 28

Explanation

\(f(4) = 3(4) - 2 = 12 - 2 = 10\)

\(f(-3) = 5(-3) - 3 = -15 - 3 = -18\)

\(f(4) - f(-3) = 10 - (-18) = 28\)
