A projectile is fired with a velocity of 20 ms\(^{-1}\) at an angle of 40° to the horizontal. Determine the components of the velocity of the projectile at its maximum height.

Explanation

The components of velocity at maximum height are:

Vy = 0

Vx = UCos \(\theta\) = 20 Cos 40°

=15.32ms\(^{-1}\)
