A body is projected at an angle of 30° to the horizontal with a velocity of 150 ms\(^{-1.}\). Calculate the time it takes to reach the greatest height [Take g = 10 ms\(^2\) and neglect air resistance]

Explanation

Given Data: u = 150 ms\(^{-1.}\), Ø = 30°

Time of Flight = \(\frac{2usinØ}{g}\) → \(\frac{2 * 150 * sin30°}{10}\)

= 15s

t = time taken to reach maximum height = ?

t = usinθ÷g

t = [150 × sin(30)] ÷10

t = 7.5secs.
