A ball bearing is projected vertically upwards from the ground with a velocity of 15ms-1. Calculate the time taken by the ball to return to the ground [g = 10ms-1]

  • A. 1.5s
  • B. 3.0s
  • C. 5.0s
  • D. 7.5s

Correct Answer: B. 3.0s

Explanation

t = 2\(\frac{(v - u)}{g} = 2\frac{(0 - 15)}{-10}\)

\(\frac{2 \times 15}{10}\) = 3.0s
