(a)(i) Median = \(\frac{1}{2} (N + 1)\)
= \(\frac{1}{2}(30 + 1) = 15.5\)
= 15th and 16th position
= \(\frac{2 + 2}{2} = 2\)
(ii) Mean = \(\frac{\sum fx}{\sum f}\)
= \(\frac{84}{30}\)
= \(2.8 \approxeq 3\) (nearest whole no).
