Simplify \(\frac{2}{2 + x} + \frac{2}{2 - x}\)

  • A. \(\frac{4}{4 - x^3}\)
  • B. \(\frac{8}{4 - x^2}\)
  • C. \(\frac{4x}{4 - x^2}\)
  • D. \(\frac{8 - 4x}{4 - x^2}\)

Correct Answer: B. \(\frac{8}{4 - x^2}\)

Explanation

\(\frac{2}{2 + x} + \frac{2}{2 - x}\)

\(\frac{2(2 - x) + 2(2 + x)}{(2 + x)(2 - x)} = \frac{4 - 2x + 4 + 2x}{4 - 2x + 2x - x^2}\)

= \(\frac{8}{4 - x^2}\)
