Find the values of x for which \( \frac{1}{2x^2 - 13x +15} \) is not defined,

  • A. 5 or \( \frac{3}{2} \)
  • B. 1 or \( \frac{15}{13} \)
  • C. 2 or 15
  • D. 13 or 15

Correct Answer: A. 5 or \( \frac{3}{2} \)

Explanation

The fraction is undefined when the denominator is equal to zero

\(2x^2 - 13x + 15 = 0\\

2x^2 - 3x - 10x + 15\\

x(2x-3)-5(2x-3) = 0\\

(2x-3)(x-5)=0\\

x = \frac{3}{2} or x = 5\)
