i. For the purpose of fair judgements.
ii. Prevent arbitrary acts/rule.
iii. Prevent autocracy/dictatorship.
iv. Protection of indivdual right/group rights
v. For the maintenance of the Rule of Law.
vi. To ensure checks and balances in constitutional government.
vii. To ensure public confidence in government/judiciary.
viii. To ensure free and fair elections.
ix. To insulate the judiciary from partisan politics.
x. To ensure judicial professional integrity.
