(xi) Jesus advised believers not to be worried but believe in both God and him.

(xii) He assured believers of many rooms in God's house to accommodate believers.

(xiii) Jesus promised to prepare a place for his followers and would come again for them.

(xiv) Jesus emphasized that He was the way, the truth and the life.

(xv) And that no one can go to the Father except through Him.

(xvi) He concluded that those who had seen or known him (Jesus) had seen or known God, his Father.

(b) Two assurances Christians should have in Christ:

(i) The Christian is assured that his life does not end in physical death, but that in Christ, he would rise again.

(ii) The resurrection of Lazarus demonstrates the power of God to also raise the true believer in Christ, even as Christ himself was raised.

(iii) The commonwealth of the Christian is not necessarily here — Christ goes to prepare a place for him and will come back to take him.

(iv) It is a privilege to have found Christ who alone is the way, the truth and the life, through whom alone man can come to the Father.

(v) It gives hope to Christians for a new life. Death is not an end but a means to another life.

(vi) It gives Christians confidence to face challenges of life.

The importance of science and technology in nation I development cannot be over-emphasized. It is a known fact that no nation can develop without science and technology. What is science and technology? Science is the study of knowledge which can be made into a system science and which depends on seeing and testing facts while technology is the practical application of scientific knowledge. Developed nations of the world like the Soviet Union. Germany. France. U.S.A etc. boast of several scientific inventions which make them to be rated as the world powers.

Science and technology is the pivot of any nation's development. A nation without science and technology is definitely a backward nation. Such nation will be considered undeveloped. Science and technology is associated with modernity and it is an essential tool for rapid development. Modern gadgets in all aspects of human comfort are inventions of science and technology Electricity, aircraft, telephone, television, computers and other forms of machinery could not have been invented technology.

Science and technology. Science and technology is also very essential in the production of medicine and treatment of diseases. A nation which lacks the necessary science and technology in this area will have to depend on other developed nations for the existence of its people. Such a nation can not be said to be independent because it has to depend on the whim and caprices of other nations with the necessary science and technology.

The development of a nation depends solely on the amount of science and technology at the disposal of such nation. A strong and virile nation is a nation ion with adequate technology to make its people comfortable. A nation without science and technology cannot feed ls people because agriculture requires the application of science and technology.

Furthermore, science and technology helps in the area of employment. The rate of unemployment is high in Nigeria simply because many graduates of science are either under-utilized or unemployed. This is so because there is no scientific and technological development to match the number of graduates churned out of our universities every year. Nigeria too can join other giant nations of the world if our government could spend more money on science and technology. This is the only way the country can launch itself into limelight and world recognition as a developed nation.

(ii) Producers' Co-operatives association are producers who are in the same line of production who come together to do joint business.

(iii) Thrift and Credit Co-operative are associations of usually low income earners who contribute money, the total of which goes to members in turn. Sometimes, the money collected may be given as loan to a needy member at minimal interest, Thus member are encouraged to save and they also enjoy a greater bulk of money at a time. Members share profits/surplus in form of dividends.

(b) Problems faced by Co-operative Societies

(i) Members have other interest and so elected officials may apply themselves to the work only on Part-time basis.

(ii) Members being low income earners are unable to subscribe much share capital and so this limits the development of the co-operative.

(iii) Problem of maintaining loyalty. Members as mentioned have other interests and may not give full-loyalty to the cooperative.

(iv) Competition from other outlets

(v) Officers are to be elected from among the members. It may happen that at any one time there may not be qualified people and so unqualified people will be elected to run the business.

(vi) There have been cases of embezzlement of funds by the elected officers.
